Bridging Research and Practice towards Sustainable Peace

Mission :

The mission of CARiCT is to support through research and research related activities the mission of the Nordic Center for Conflict Transformation which is “To generate progress towards the normalization of positive and lasting peace by working with individuals, groups, communities, civil society and governmental institutions to develop a culture of peace that is embedded in justice, full respect of human rights and non-violence as the norm and a way of life.” The Nordic center offers a credible platform for information-sharing and dialogue.

The Center for Applied Research in Conflict Transformation (CARiCT) specific mission is to engage with groundbreaking multidisciplinary research and mobilize knowledge on issues pertaining to violence and conflicts, and ways to address them. Aligned with the Nordic Center for Conflict Transformation’s philosophy, CARiCT strives to bridge research and practice with the only objective of supporting the development of everyday peace.
