Issam is a Chevening scholar holding a Master’s degree in International Politics and Security Studies from the Bradford University and a Certificate in peace from the Hiroshima University, Japan. He brings prior research and policy making experience from previous roles in international organizations such National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, Internews, DAI-Global, and Action-Aid Denmark. Issam has solid expertise in field research, reflected in youth led democracy assessment conducted in 2014 assessing and strengthening social resilience project in 2017. Issam currently works as executive director of CHIFAE- a prominent Moroccan based NGO- operating in the north of Morocco with a focus on youth economic integration, education and community development. Issam’s research interests focus on youth, civic participation, civil society, security and governance.
