Our mission it to generate progress towards the normalization of positive and lasting peace globally, by working with individuals, groups, communities, civil society and governmental institutions, to develop a culture of peace that is embedded in justice, full respect of human rights and non-violence as the norm and a way of life.

The Nordic Model

The Nordic Center brings a Nordic model of conflict transformation and peacebuilding by focusing on three main components

  • Documenting and mitigating climate-induced conflict, poverty and migration.

  • Strengthening the active role of women in conflict resolution and prevention.

  • Promoting the equal access to information as a fundamental right in societies in transition.
