The Nordic Center

What we do

Normalizing a lasting positive peace

is to advance the normalization of positive and lasting peace globally, by working with individuals, communities, civil society, and governmental institutions. We aim to develop a culture of peace rooted in justice, full respect of human rights, and non-violence as both the norm and way of life.

We bring a Nordic approach to conflict transformation and peacebuilding by focusing on:

  • Documenting and mitigating climate-induced conflict, poverty and migration.
  • Strengthening the active role of women in conflict resolution and prevention.
  • Promoting the equal access to information as a fundamental right in societies in transition
