Martin Ängeby has been appointed by the Government of Sweden to the Board of Directors of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida). He is also a Senior Analyst at the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE). Previously, he served as Senior Country Director at the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Moldova and as Secretary-General of the Swedish International Liberal Centre (SILC), a non-profit supporting democracy and human rights.

 An experienced political campaign manager, Martin has held the post of Chief Guardian of Stockholm and worked with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) and the regional planning office of metropolitan Stockholm on social integration. He is Chairman of the International Elections Studies Centre in Lithuania and former Chair of the European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP).
